Tri color chutney

During school and college days, I used participate flag hoisting with my friends. We used to sing the National Anthem. It is a great feeling to hear or sing National Anthem or any Patriotic song.

I wanted to post something special for my space. I dint want to make sweets. After thinking for a long time I decided to make this 😀 …

I know it is looking very very cute. I loved it so much..

Now let me share the recipe of the chutney

Garlic Red chili chutney

You need,
1. Oil – 1/2 teaspoon
2. Whole red chilies – 3 (you can make it 1 teaspoon if you dont want it spicy)
3. Garlic – 1 clove skinned
4. Tamarind paste – 1 teaspoon
5. Coconut grated – 1/2 cup
6. Salt to taste

You have to,
1. Heat oil in a pan and add red chili and whole garlic
2. Saute till the red chili start turning color (roasted well).
3. Remove from flame and add in coconut and salt. Saute once.
4. Now grind the above mixture along with tamarind paste.
5. Transfer it to a serving bowl.
Note: If require add 1 or 2 tbsp of water while grinding

Coconut chutney with onion and curd

You need,
1. Coconut – 1/2 cup
2. Green chilies – 1 or 2
3. Onion – 1 tbsp
4. Thick yogurt – 2 tbsp
5. Ginger – 1/4 inch piece
6. Salt to taste

You have to,
1. Grind all ingredients except curd and salt.
2. Add in salt, curd and whisk well.
3. Transfer it to a serving bowl

Note: Add up to 2 tbsp of water if required

Coriander leaves Chutney 

You need,
1. Chopped coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
2. Coconut grated – 1/2 cup
3. Green chilies – 1
4. Lemon juice – up to 1 teaspoon
5. Cumin seeds – 1/8 teaspoon
6. ginger – 1/2 teaspoon chopped
7. Onion – 1 teaspoon chopped
8. Salt for taste

You have to,
1. First grind the coriander leaves, onion, ginger, cumin seeds and green chili
2. Add in coconut and grind well.
3. Add salt and lemon juice and transfer it to a bowl.
Note: – You can add lemon juice while grinding. If you require more water add up to 1 tbsp water

So now all chutneys are ready

Serve it with wheat dosa.. yummm 🙂
