December 18, 2009 By Manjooo M Leave a Comment

My invention 😀

Ingrediants:

1. Raw bananas – 2 large
2. Onions, chopped – 2 tablespoons
3. Mustard seeds – 2 teaspoons
4. Crushed peppercorns – 1 tbsp
5. Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
6. Dry red chilli, crushed – 1
7. Butter milk/curd – 1/4 cup
8. Curry leaves – a few
9. Oil – 2-3 tbsps

Method:

1. Peel the raw bananas. Cut into small cubes and add the butter milk/ curd and mix well. Remove from curd after half an hour.
2. Heat oil.
3. Add broken red chillies.
4. Add mustard seeds.
5. Once they splutter add the onions and fry them till they turn light brown.
6. Add turmeric powder and curry leaves. Saute for a while and add the raw banana pieces.
7. Mix well with out breaking them.
8. Once they are fried well, add the crushed peppercorns and salt.
7. Mix well and leave it for maximum 5 minutes on medium heat. Remove from heat.

This tastes good with chappatis. Instead of raw bananas we can use potatoes as well.
