You need,
1. broken wheat – 1/2 cup washed, cleaned and drained
2. onions – 1/2 cup chopped
3. green chilli – 1-2 slit , chopped
4. ginger – 1/2 tsp grated
5. frozen green peas – 1/4 cup (optional)
6. carrot – 1/4 cup cubed(optional)
7. mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp
8. oil – 1 tbsp + 1 tsp
9. salt to taste
10. coriander leaves – 2 tbsp chopped
11. water – one and half cup
12. curry leaves of 1 string
You have to ,
1. Cook broken wheat, 1 tsp oil, water, little salt in a pressure cooker for 1 whislte and keep aside till the pressure is gone
2. Heat the 1 tbsp oil in a non stick pan add the mustard seeds and allow to crackle.
3. Now add the onions, green chilli, curry leaves and ginger and saute till the onions turn translucent.
4. Add the frozen green peas, carrots and little salt and saute for 3 to 4 minutes.
5. Add the cooked broken wheat and mix well evenly
6. Garnish with the coriander leaves and serve hot.
Note:- You could add 1/4 cup of fresh gratted coconut at step 5
