For bottom layer,
Blueberries – 1 cup
All purpose flour – 1 tsp
Fresh Orange juice – 2 tbsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Vanila Essence – 1/2 tsp
For topping,
All purpose flour – 1/4 cup
Oats – 1/4 cup
Sugar – 2 tbsp or 1/4 cup
Melted butter – 1 tbsp or 1/8 cup
Almonds toasted and chopped – 2 tbsp
Baking soda + baking powder – 1/4 tsp
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius.
2. Lightly butter an 4-inch square baking dish.
For bottom layer,
3. Mix all the ingredients mentioned under the filling in a bowl without breaking the blueberries and everything is coated evenly over the berries
4. In another bowl mix all the ingredients mentioned under the topping using a wooden spatula or hands to form a crumbled mixture
5. Pour the bottom layer mixture into an baking dish
6. Add the top layer mixture and evenly distribute evenly spread over the berries.
7. Place the baking dish inside the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
8. The berries will bubble up and can be visible and the topping will become light brown
9. Remove from oven and cool it slightly and serve warm
10. Sit back and enjoy the crunchy dessert ๐
