I can drive!!!

I used enjoy being in the back seat or the side seat..and i listen music or sleep…”Driving a car” it never came up to my mind. But now i realised it is a kinda necessary, I need to drive..

Me and LK decided to join the classes as soon as she gets her RP. LJ took us to the school..She was our parent :)..I really felt so. When I reached outside the Driving School, I got all the feelings i had when I was joining my college or when I was in a new class in my school. After paying approx half my salary of that month we got admission in the school..We have joined for the Automatic Driving classes

We were told that we will be having 4 days compulsory theory classes. So with my zero knowledge about vehicles I started my classes

Theory classes
Our instructor’s name was Issac. The classes was interesting. One thing i learned is while driving we should see all the objects around. Even if it is moving or even it is static. i.e, for example a dustbin is an object 🙂

Practicals
Ah!!! I remember my first day..Jenny(my instructor) was a friendly person..She taught me about each parts of the control panel which I am going use inside a car. (All these days I was thinking there is only 1 control panel, the one in PCs). I got a chance to drive 2 rounds in the ground, but it made me more confused and poor Jenny was keep on pressing the break. I was a kinda sad end of the day…donno how I was going to drive…how I am gonna do so many things at the same time??

Days passed. Slowly i learned. It is all about balance!!! I become more comfortable with the steering, break and accelerator..But somtimes instead of right indicator i put the wiper on. :D….Jenny made me to rotate the steering left and right. I even used to think if i do this daily this will help to tone my arms :P.

On Day 12 we hit the high way. I guess I was so nervous seeing so many vehicles that instead of left indicator i put right. But later i become comformable. We went near Landmark, Wakra, Ramada Signal. After that I learnt L parking and Box parking.

The sad part was I couln’t give test on the 25th day and I had to travel to India. LK gave test and she got the license. When I came after my vacation, I almost forgot everything. I was given another instructor. I gave my first test. Somehow I cleared the signal test. But I failed in the parking . I was very sad. I started dreaming about L parking and box parking. But on my next test I cleared.

Road test is a kinda tension free comapared to the parking. Parking is all about measurements. Road test just needs more confidence. And here every action is noted. I tried to forget that a Police Man is sitting next to me. I was relaxed and remembered things to do.

And I did it!!! I did it!!! The puzzle is solved!!

I got my license 🙂
