The foodie me
I always believe I am a blessed person to be in an Interfaith family who has the advantages of tasting delicious food that my mom prepares. Most of the time I will be hanging around her in the kitchen when she prepares any special dishes. Let it be festival recipes or baking goodies or preparing her specialty Chinese dishes.
I got explored to more delicacies when I started working in Bengaluru, India. My non-Keralite friends and colleagues introduced me to the different tastes of India. Staying with them helped me to learn several new recipes.
When I moved to Qatar , I started baking cakes independently. I have never been to a baking class. Though I used to bake cakes with my mom, doing things alone helped me to gain confidence.
Birth of a blogger
My mom has all the ingredients and measurements of any recipe in her mind. Unlike her, I need it always noted in a book. Years later I started to have more and more notebooks with recipes in it. When I got a PC, I started to save them in my hard disc. But one day my heart nearly broke into pieces when my Hard disc crashed.
Later I started storing the recipes in my emails.. But that is when my friend suggested the idea of starting a blog. And then on November 2009, i posted my first recipe. And the journey continues. Now I have pretty good number of posts. So I decided to upgrade it to a website..
Now I post new recipes and I visit my old posts to update them with new pictures. I am not a professional photographer. Slowly and gradually I learnt how to do plating and click better pictures. I am still improving.
