Few days ago, we had Zomato Ladies meetup at Carisma. Carisma is an Italian Restaurant inside Warwick Restaurant. Warwick is a quiet place in the middle of the city and this is my second visit to Warwick. I had been there for an Iftar gathering before.
After baby M’s arrival it is the first time I am going for a food blogger’s meet. I joined the meet up after my working hours with baby M and Gops (gopsgourmet.blogspot.com).
The restaurant is in the ground floor to the lobby. It has a comfortable seating, warm and welcoming ambiance. Baby M was given a high chair. That evening a set menu was planned for us.
As soon as we settled down, we were served juice followed by a very fresh and tasty Focaccia.
First in the menu was a cute looking tasty mini pizza with buffalo mozzarella.
For starter we had an option to choose Misticanza salad with wild fresh herbs or beef tomato soup. I chose the soup. Warm soup came in with a dollop of mascarpone cheese on top of it. It had the fresh buratta along with it. This was just delicious.
From the main course options of Fish cutlet, Risotto & fettuccine, I chose the home made fettuccine with spinach, mushroom, chicken and creamy sauce. But it was a bit disappointment to find out that the dryness ruined the tasty fettuccine.
Finally the dessert came in. It was a trio panna cotta with homemade ice cream. The flavors served were chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.
I hadn’t tasted the ice cream anywhere. I didn’t bother to ask more about the ice cream probably due the chill climate. I enjoyed the chocolate and vanilla panna cotta.
After a “Zelfie” we all parted.
Overall experience at the restaurant was nice. Staff was very helpful getting new spoons as and when baby M drops it. We ladies had fun chatting and Baby M liked the crowd 🙂 .
My favorite dish that evening was the soup. Had it been the fettuccine not dry, it would have been a perfect Italian dinner for me.
